RBS Oak was established by Dr. Chris Baylis as a reclamation yard in 1984. Over the years RBS has specialised into solid oak and pine flooring, cast iron radiators and oak beams, reclaimed and new, fireplaces and door furniture and railway sleepers.
RBS always has in stock oak and pine floorboards up to 11 inches in width and 4 metres in length. The new oak is air dried for 12 months then kiln dried for 2-3 weeks to give a moisture content of 8-10% only then it is machined into tongue & groove boards ready for laying. The same oak and pine boards are used to make oak plank doors, internal and external.
